Henry Lau

Henry founded Roster in 2009 after twelve years at a global executive search firm, the last five leading its industrial and infrastructure board practice. Before search, Henry trained as a chartered accountant and worked in corporate finance, which still shapes how every brief is approached: start with the numbers and the strategy, then find the people.

Today Henry leads the board and executive practice from London, appointing chairs, chief executives and non-executive directors for listed companies and private equity portfolios. Henry runs a small number of searches at a time and stays involved in each from the first board conversation to the final reference. Clients value the candour. If the right person for the role is not available, Henry says so early and explains why.
